Electrical Crimping Die Profiles
Alpha Press crimping dies are available on request in varying profile shapes. Our standard profile shape is configured most commonly for hexagon shaped crimping and generally used with copper universal lug ferrules.
For aluminium ferrules, dependant on the ferrule manufacturer, the fitting, shape and outer dimension is likely to be slightly smaller than the more common copper ferrules. In this case, care should be taken on selecting correct sized ferrules.
Alternatively, specific aluminium dies can be requested.
